from 200-2005 there was a game called penguinchat which was similar to club penguin except it has ninjas and vehicles. it was on rocketsnail which has now been closed. after penguinchat, there was club penguin which was in beta testing from august to october second which was when the club penguin beta party was which had the beta hats. there is a new version of penguinchat but it is fake. the beta hat is a pink and yellow party hat. during thr beta party, there were 2 boxes of hats located in the town. during the beta test, there was only one room that was the town. one of the founders of cp is billybob.
